Five Stars

"Great service! Showed up to give me an estimate. Turned out it was a minor problem that they fixed on the spot free of charge. It says a lot about a company that will do that."

  • How can a homeowner recognize when a roof system has problems?

The most obvious sign that your roof has problems, is a leak. Leaks can be caused by several different things, the most common causes are chimney flashings, roof penetrations such as pipe boots or vents, skylights, or from a fallen tree limb. Other signs of roof issues would be sliding shingles, lifting or cracking of the shingles, and loss of shingle granules. Ridge Roofing offers free inspections, please call us if you have any concerns about your roof.

  • What are my options if I decide to replace my roof?

We install all types of roofing materials, from architectural shingles to designer shingles, to Tuff-Rib metal panels, or seamless metal panels, and everything else in between! We help you make an informed decision to ensure you have a sound roof over your home.

  • My roof leaks. Do I need to have it replaced completely?

The first step to determining if your roof needs to be replaced is to have a competent roofing contractor inspect it. In some cases, leaks can be caused by small, easy to fix issues. In some other cases, the leak is the first sign that the roof has expired and needs to be replaced.

  • Can I do the work myself and save money?

We always recommend homeowners to consult an expert in the field. When it comes to the roof over your home, it is best to ensure the work is done by expert roofers, such as our team at Ridge Roofing. The last thing you would want is to do the work yourself and end up with more issues down the road.

  • How long can I expect my roof system to last?

The life expectancy of a roof depends on the type of roofing material you decide to use. Typical architectural shingles have a life expectancy of about 30 years and a typical Tuff-Rib metal panel has a life expectancy of over 40 years.

  • How do I know what type of roofing shingle is best for my roof and my budget?

We work with all types of shingles, but we highly recommend architectural shingles. These have the best value and they will look great. We also strongly recommend Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles, these are high-performance architectural shingles that use the Scotchgard Protector technology that contains copper granules and fights black streaks.

  • What will a new roof system cost?

The cost of a complete new roof system varies greatly. Several factors come into play when considering the price; material selection, size and pitch of the roof, condition of the roof decking, and structure, just to name a few. If you are considering replacing your roof, please give us a call for a free estimate. We would love to work with you!

  • And what if my new roof leaks? Then what?

Ridge Roofing offers a 5-year workmanship warranty on all complete roof system replacements. This warranty will apply if any leaks develop within 5 years. If unfortunately, that were to happen, Ridge Roofing would promptly revisit your home and repair the leaking area, at no cost to the homeowner. Certain conditions apply to our warranty, but all this information will be provided in our contract documents.

  • I have vegetation growth (moss/algae) on my roof. Does it need to be replaced or can it be cleaned?

If there is considerable algae or moss on your roof it may be a sign that it is at the end of its life expectancy and time to be replaced. Although, if your roof is less than 15 years old and is not leaking, you may be able to clean it to lessen the algae and moss growth. We do not recommend pressure washing or scraping growth off your roof, which may damage the shingles and cause issues. A mixture of water and vinegar can be sprayed onto the roof to kill algae and moss. Once it has dried, the growth will fall off. This may need to be repeated in order to achieve the desired results.

  • What are some reasons I would need to replace my gutters?

The most obvious sign is that your gutters overflow when it rains. This indicates that they are too small or that the gutter system is too small for your home. Rotten fascia boards can also cause gutters to come loose and fall off your home. This is usually a good time to replace your gutters. A new gutter system will be very aesthetically pleasing and keep water away from your home.

  • What is the life expectancy of a skylight?

A new and properly installed skylight and flashing kit typically have a life expectancy of 30 years.
